Shawna Bentley

Attorney Shawna Bentley joined Wescott Law in November 2018 after graduating from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (now University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law) where she completed the Daniel Webster Scholar Honors Program. While there, Shawna worked with the National Education Association of New Hampshire and completed judicial internships at the Belknap County Superior Court and Franklin District and Family Courts. 

An honors graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, Shawna earned a double major in English Language & Literature and English Education. She worked briefly as a high school English teacher before turning her interests toward a career in law.

Shawna is admitted to practice law in New Hampshire and is a member of both the Belknap County and the New Hampshire Bar Associations. Shawna grew up in the Lakes Region and is active in the community, serving as the Treasurer of the Belknap County Bar Association, as well as serving on the Board of Directors of the Belknap Mill Society. Shawna has also had the opportunity to return to UNH Law as an adjunct professor teaching legal research and information literacy.

Shawna offers general legal services, focusing primarily on Civil Litigation, Landlord/Tenant Law, Family Law, and Estate Planning. Shawna has experience advocating on behalf of individuals, businesses, and families in every branch of the New Hampshire court system.
