Celebrating Growth and Leadership as the Firm Nears its 100th Anniversary
Wescott Law, a full-service law firm with offices in Laconia, Meredith and Plymouth, is pleased to announce that Kyle Amell has been named Partner at the firm. Amell joined Wescott Law in 2021 and practices primarily in civil litigation and criminal defense.
A graduate of Boston College Law School, Amell brings a thoughtful, client-focused approach to his work shaped by his experience in legal clinics and public service roles. Amell first became familiar with Wescott Law during his final year at Boston College, when he joined the firm as a law clerk, an experience that laid the foundation for his continued growth with the firm. His promotion reflects Wescott Law’s commitment to investing in leadership and long-term excellence as the firm prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2027.

Amell’s promotion also underscores Wescott Law’s focus on continuity, mentorship and growth as the firm looks ahead to its next century of service.
“Being named partner is an incredible honor at any stage of a legal career, and I see it as an opportunity to help lead and support a team of dedicated professionals,” said Amell. “I’ve been fortunate to learn from outstanding mentors, beginning with my professors at Boston College and continuing at Wescott Law, where I gained meaningful courtroom experience early on. The firm’s collaborative culture, including the continued involvement of retired attorneys who remain engaged and supportive, has been instrumental in shaping my career.”

As a partner, Amell will continue serving clients while taking on an expanded leadership role within the firm. His promotion strengthens Wescott Law’s ability to deliver high-quality legal services while honoring the firm’s long-standing commitment to providing sound counsel and practical solutions.
“Wescott Law already has a fantastic culture,” said Amell. “Becoming a partner gives me the opportunity to contribute to that culture by mentoring new attorneys, supporting our team and continuing to grow both my practice and the firm’s presence throughout the Lakes Region and beyond.”
Amell is admitted to practice law in New Hampshire and is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association. He is currently accepting clients in civil litigation and criminal defense matters.
