Ambrose Elected Director and Managing Partner
Attorney Allison Ambrose has been elected to the position of Director and Managing Partner of Wescott Law, effective January 1, 2016. Coming to the firm as an intern on January 1, 2010, Ambrose was invited to join the Wescott Law as an associate attorney in May of the following year. “Allison has excelled not only in her role as an attorney, but also as a key player in office management”, states Attorney Rod Dyer, senior partner of the firm.
Ambrose, a cum laude graduate of the University Of New Hampshire School Of Law (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center) and a Daniel Webster Scholar, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of New Hampshire in 2005. Prior to practicing law, Ambrose worked as an international business liaison for State Street Global Advisors in Boston having previously held management positions in a variety of industries. While in law school, she served as an intern to the Honorable Richard McNamara of the Merrimack County Superior Court.
A graduate of the Leadership Lakes Region program, Ambrose is active in the community, serving as a mentor for young women in New Hampshire’s Circle Program, and President of the Belknap Mill Society Board of Directors. “It’s an honor and privilege to be given this opportunity. Wescott Law, founded in 1927 by the late Attorney Harold E. Wescott, is a full service firm with offices in Laconia, Bristol, Portsmouth and Meredith. Ambrose offers general legal services, focusing her practice on personal injury, criminal defense and civil litigation. Her advocacy work includes DWI and other motor vehicle violation defense, general criminal defense, labor and employment, landlord/tenant and contract disputes.
While primarily at the Laconia office, Ambrose also sees clients at the firm’s Meredith office by appointment.
